The Greg Oldham Family

I am going to start posting again. Maybe this time I will keep up with things. Summer is a busy time which means there is little time to do the extra things. So far this year I have harvested violets, rhubarb, and chamomile. I have made jelly with all of them and pies out of the rhubarb. There are also 18 meals worth of asparagus in the freezer and more is coming over the next few weeks. The garden is mostly in. I have a few of the companion plants to transplant and a bed of broccoli. But it has been too hot the last few days for me and the plants. Tomorrow will be cooler.

We have been very busy putting the garden in this year. The beds were increased in size and some new beds were created. It was back breaking work, which I must say I am indeed grateful to my sweet husband for removing all of the sod. I am even more grateful that he survived. I am posting some pictures from this years garden. There were seeds to be started and hardened off. Transplants to be planted. Weeds to be removed. Rototilling and so much more. There have been a lot of helpers... a lot of helpers. Thank you!
